A philosophy

The facade of Conservatoire Darius Milhaud in Aix-en-Provence

Atelier Ballet d'Aix-en-Provence, in partnership with Conservatoire Darius Milhaud d'Aix-en-Provence, is offering for the first time a summer academy of dance with several classes in ballet and contemporary dance with home teachers of the conservatoire and world-famous artists.

The philosophy of this new academy stands on the transmission of very important choreographic styles developped by two great creators of the XXth century: Roland Petit and Pina Bausch.

For this first edition, exceptional performers having worked and created Roles for and with this two choreographers will transmit their experience just as they have got from these two personalities of the History of Dance.  A Ballet Elementary Class in the Grand Studio

The choice of offering a very high quality working frame, with 10 to 20 students by group, will favor intensity of work and artistitical deepening for an unforgettable week of dance!
